How to Install The Safety Light Curtain?

In order to ensure the normal operation and the safety of operators, we must install the Light Curtain according to the correct methods and steps.

1. Check The Product Manual

No matter what you buy, especially electronic and electrical products, you need to read the instructions carefully, which is beyond doubt.

2. Punching

The safety light curtain needs to be installed on the mechanical console and be fixed. If the drilling position is incorrect, it may affect the normal operation and scratch the light curtain.

3. Wiring

The installation manual of the safety light curtain has a specific installation wiring diagram, which requires the installation personnel to install in strict accordance with the manual. At the same time, it is best to confirm the wiring with the salesperson in charge. Only after confirmation can it be used normally to avoid man-made damage caused by wrong wiring.

4. Aligning

Fix the position of the light curtain according to the instructions, including the light sender and the light receiver. Ensure that the light curtain can target the light normally. Keep them above the same horizontal plane and fix the controller in right position at the same time. Keep the controller away from the interference source as far as possible and avoid damage to the controller during operation.

5. Inspection and Test

Check whether the support of the safety light curtain is loose and fastened. If there is no abnormality, it means that the installation is successful. After all inspections are normal, it is necessary to conduct trial operation. Cover each light with foreign matters to check whether each of them is effective. Direct limb detection should be avoided during the test, other foreign matters can also be used for detection.

Be sure to test the operation of the light curtain after installation to verify that it is normal.
Be sure to stop the machine until the test is completed.
Please be sure to install the light curtain at a safe distance from the dangerous parts of the equipment. Otherwise, the machine may not stop before someone enters the dangerous part,resulting in serious personal injury.
When using more than one set of light curtain, please install it in a way that will not interfere with each other. For example, configure it to be connected in series or use a physical fence between adjacent sensors.
Unplanned function settings may lead to failure to detect human body, resulting in serious personal injury.
