What are the requirements for the coefficient of performance (COP) of the chiller

Choosing the right chiller needs to focus on understanding the chiller's cooling capacity, chilled water capacity, thermal efficiency, water tank capacity, temperature control accuracy, water quality requirements, and water circulation system material requirements. The following data is the chiller cooling capacity performance coefficient requirement.

  1. Piston/scroll chiller, its coefficient of performance (COP) requirements are as follows:

   When the rated cooling capacity is less than 528KW, the COP should not be less than 3.8;

   When the rated cooling capacity is 528~1163KW, the COP should not be less than 4.0;

   When the rated cooling capacity is greater than 1163KW, the COP should not be less than 4.2.

  2. For screw chillers, the coefficient of performance (COP) requirements are as follows:

   When the rated cooling capacity is less than 528KW, the COP should not be less than 4.10;

   When the rated cooling capacity is 528~1163KW, the COP should not be less than 4.30;

   When the rated cooling capacity is greater than 1163KW, the COP should not be less than 4.60.

  3. For centrifugal chillers, the coefficient of performance (COP) requirements are as follows:

   When the rated cooling capacity is less than 528KW, the COP should not be less than 4.40.

   When the rated cooling capacity is 528~1163KW, the COP should not be less than 4.70.

   When the rated cooling capacity is greater than 1163KW, the COP should not be less than 5.10.

  4. For evaporative cooling or air-cooled chillers/piston/scroll chillers, the coefficient of performance (COP) requirements are as follows:

   When the rated cooling capacity is less than or equal to 50KW, the COP should not be less than 2.40.

   When the rated cooling capacity is greater than 50KW, the COP should not be less than 2.60.

  5. For air-cooled or evaporative-cooled screw chillers, the coefficient of performance (COP) requirements are as follows:

   When the rated cooling capacity is less than or equal to 50KW, the COP should not be less than 2.60.

   When the rated cooling capacity is greater than 50KW, the COP should not be less than 2.80.

  6. ​​The requirements for the integrated part-load performance factor (IPLV) of water-cooled screw chillers are as follows:

   When the rated cooling capacity is less than 528KW, its IPLV should not be less than 4.47.

   When the rated cooling capacity is 528~1163KW, its IPLV should not be less than 4.81.

   When the rated cooling capacity is greater than 1163KW, its IPLV should not be less than 5.13.

  7. The requirements for the integrated partial load performance factor (IPLV) of centrifugal water-cooled units are as follows:

   When the rated cooling capacity is less than 528KW, its IPLV should not be less than 4.49.

   When the rated cooling capacity is 528~1163KW, its IPLV should not be less than 4.88.

   When the rated cooling capacity is greater than 1163KW, its IPLV should not be less than 5.42.

   When the air-cooled unitary unit with a nominal cooling capacity greater than 7.1kW, its energy efficiency ratio requirements are as follows:

   When the duct is not connected, the energy efficiency ratio is not less than 2.60.

When is connected to the air duct, the energy efficiency ratio shall not be less than 2.30.

  When a water-cooled unitary unit with a nominal cooling capacity greater than 7.1kW, its energy efficiency ratio requirements are as follows:

   When the duct is not connected, the energy efficiency ratio is not less than 3.00.

When is connected to the air duct, the energy efficiency ratio shall not be less than 2.70.

   1. Use side: refrigeration inlet/outlet water temperature 12/7℃.

  2. Heat source side (or heat release side): water-cooled cooling water inlet and outlet temperature is 30/35℃, air-cooled cooling air dry bulb temperature is 35℃, evaporative cooling air wet bulb temperature is 24℃.

   3. The fouling coefficient on the use side and the water-cooled heat source side is 0.086m2.℃/kW.
