Operation management of wet stroke of refrigeration compressor

The wet stroke of the compressor is caused by the liquid refrigerant entering the cylinder. When the amount of liquid entering is small, frost will form on the outside of the cylinder. When the amount is large, it will not only form frost, but also knock the cylinder and damage the machine in severe cases.

   1. Operation adjustment of wet stroke of single-stage compressor

When the compressor has a wet stroke, immediately close the compressor suction valve, and close the throttle valve to stop the liquid supply. If the suction temperature continues to drop, close the suction valve again and start the unloading device. After the temperature rises, slowly open the suction valve and gradually increase the load until the machine resumes normal operation. When handling the wet stroke, pay attention to adjusting the oil pressure. If the oil pressure is too low, stop the machine.

When a severe wet stroke occurs, you should stop first, and then drive when the liquid refrigerant is processed. At the same time, the water supply in the cooler and water jacket should be increased to prevent freezing and cracking. In order to resume the operation of the machine as soon as possible, the liquid refrigerant in the machine body can be discharged through the vent valve.

  2. Operation adjustment of wet stroke of two-stage compressor

The wet stroke of the low-pressure stage compressor is often caused by the evaporation temperature or improper operation of the low-pressure equipment. The treatment method is the same as that of the single-stage compressor.

The wet stroke of the high-pressure compressor is often caused by the high level of the intercooler. When handling, first close the suction valve of the low and low pressure stage and unload to the minimum load, then close the liquid supply valve of the intercooler, and close the suction valve of the high pressure stage in time and unload. After the high-pressure stage resumes normal operation, open the suction valve of the large and low-pressure stage to resume normal operation and supply liquid to the intercooler. If the high-pressure stage is severely frosted, stop the compressor immediately and drain the intercooler. Other operations are similar to a single-stage machine.

   3. Preventive measures

Pay attention to observe the suction temperature, adjust the liquid level of each container correctly, and adjust the suction valve carefully. It is found that the machine has signs of wet stroke, such as: the suction and exhaust temperature drops quickly, the suction chamber of the machine is dew, the body is cold, the running sound is heavy, the sound of the valve is not clear, etc., should be dealt with in time.
