Application of dryer in power station industry
In the power station industry, compressed air is often used to drive pneumatic source parts, blowers, pneumatic tools, high-pressure air switches, and so on. But not all compressed air can be used for the above operations. Only clean, dry compressed air can drive the normal operation of pneumatic source parts and air equipment. How to get clean and dry air? Some factories use refrigerated dryers, and some factories use heat-free regeneration adsorption dryers and other equipment.
1, refrigeration dryer
Using water-cooled or air-cooled condensing refrigeration technology, the temperature of the compressed air is reduced to the required pressure dew point temperature, so that a large amount of water vapor is condensed into liquid water, and then it is discharged by a separator or an automatic drainer to achieve a drying effect .
Advantages: The refrigerated dryer has large water removal capacity, stable performance, does not consume air source, and saves energy.
Disadvantages: The dew point of the finished gas is relatively high, generally around -20°C, which will cause condensation in the gas pipeline, corrosion of the pneumatic actuator, and affect the safe operation of the power station.
2, adsorption dryer
The adsorbent is used to absorb the water molecules in the compressed air to dry the compressed air, and then a part of the dry gas is introduced into another drying tower, and the adsorption heat emitted by the tower during the adsorption process is used to affect the adsorbent in the tower Perform dehydration regeneration.
Advantages: simple structure, high reliability, little equipment maintenance workload, low product gas dew point, up to -40℃ to -70℃.
Disadvantages: Need to consume part of the product gas for regeneration.
Application of compressed air dried by dryer in power station industry:
1. Provide brake air;
2. The speed control system and the pressure oil tank of the butterfly valve are charged to ensure that there is a certain amount of compressed air under the premise of maintaining the operating oil pressure within a certain range;
3. When the unit is in phase modulation operation, press down the water level to make the water wheel leave the water surface and rotate in the air to reduce loss;
4. The operation and arc extinguishing of the high-voltage air switch, the insulation and arc extinguishing between the contacts of the high-voltage switch all rely on compressed air;
5. Other uses: such as blowing air, pneumatic tools, and pneumatic operation of isolation switches.
