What happens if the expansion valve is broken
Many friends don't know what happens when the expansion valve is broken, and what happens if the expansion valve of the air conditioner is broken. The following editor will introduce it to you, I hope you can help in repairing the car air conditioner.
 The expansion valve plays a throttling role in the air conditioning system. When the system is working, by controlling the opening of the expansion valve, the refrigerant flow rate and system pressure are adjusted to make the system work normally.
Dirty blockage of the expansion valve will cause the system to be unable to increase the refrigerant flow even if the expansion valve opening is maximized, and the pressure difference between the front and back of the valve is too large. The system will have poor cooling effect, frost behind the valve, etc.
What is the phenomenon of a broken expansion valve
The main phenomena of a broken expansion valve are as follows.
1. Small liquid supply and low refrigerant flow (ice blockage, dirty blockage, damaged temperature sensor)
2. Large liquid supply causes liquid back. (Valve stuck)
Phenomenon: Liquid enters the compressor; superheat is low; suction pressure is normal or slightly higher.
When the compressor starts, the refrigerant flow is relatively large.
Phenomenon: Liquid enters the compressor; there is no superheat; the suction is higher than normal.
3. The liquid supply fluctuates, and the expansion valve selection is incorrect
The refrigeration system is oscillating or intermittently unstable.
Phenomenon: Suction pressure fluctuates; Suction superheat fluctuates; The expansion valve sometimes supplies insufficient liquid and sometimes supplies too much liquid

What happens if the car air conditioner expansion valve is broken If the expansion valve is blocked or the throttling effect fails, it will cause the air-conditioning refrigeration system to be uncooled or insufficient.

cause of issue
(1) The expansion valve is clogged, which may be caused by the failure of the desiccant and the system with dirt;
(2) The temperature sensitive element or diaphragm of the expansion valve fails, and the capillary installation position is loose and shifted. If the pressure drops to normal or close to the normal value, it may be due to poor insulation of the temperature-sensing capillary or improper installation position. The installation should be re-wrapped and the system should be tested again.
If the pressure does not decrease, the expansion valve has failed and the expansion valve needs to be replaced.
After the expansion valve is installed, it is necessary to confirm that there is no leakage, vacuum, water refrigerant and check the performance of the air conditioning system.
