The difference between a single-head chiller and a double-head chiller

1. Single-stage refrigeration system

  1. The single-stage refrigeration cycle refers to the four processes of compression, condensation, throttling, and evaporation of the refrigerant in the refrigeration system to complete the cycle of the single-stage refrigeration machine, that is, to achieve the purpose of refrigeration. Single-stage refrigeration chillers are a type of chillers that are widely used. They can be used in card manufacturing, electronics, cold storage, medicine, and industrial production processes.

  2. It is composed of evaporator, single-stage compressor, condenser, throttle valve and other auxiliary equipment, which are connected to each other through pipes to form a closed system. Among them, the evaporator is a device that transports cold energy. After the liquid refrigerant evaporates, it absorbs the heat of the object to be cooled to achieve refrigeration; the compressor is the heart of the system and plays the role of inhaling, compressing, and outputting refrigerant vapor; The discharged high-temperature refrigerant vapor condenses into saturated liquid; the throttle valve throttles and reduces the pressure of the refrigerant while controlling and regulating the flow of refrigerant liquid into the evaporator, and divides the system into two parts, a high-pressure side and a low-pressure side.

   Two, two-stage refrigeration system

1. The two-stage refrigeration chiller is developed on the basis of a single-stage refrigeration cycle. Its compression process is carried out in two stages. The refrigerant vapor from the evaporator first enters the low-pressure stage cylinder and is compressed to an intermediate pressure, and then passes through the intermediate cooling. Then it enters the high-pressure cylinder, compresses to the condensing pressure and enters the condenser. Generally, when the evaporating temperature is between -25.7°C and -49.8°C, a two-stage compressor should be used for refrigeration.

  2. The two-stage refrigeration system is composed of an evaporator, a two-stage compressor, a condenser, an intercooler, a throttle valve and other auxiliary equipment, which are connected to each other through a pipe to form a closed system. Among them, the intercooler uses a small amount of liquid refrigerant to vaporize and absorb heat at an intermediate pressure to cool the superheated steam discharged from the low-pressure stage, reduce the suction temperature of the high-pressure stage, and at the same time cool the high-pressure liquid refrigerant.

Based on the above, among the industrial chillers, the difference between unipolar refrigeration and multi-stage refrigeration: the number and quantity of compressors can divide the chillers and refrigerators into single-stage refrigeration and multi-stage refrigeration, while multi-stage refrigeration The system can adjust the cooling power of chillers and freezers.
