The advantages and disadvantages of screw refrigeration compressor

The advantages and disadvantages of screw refrigeration compressor Compared with piston refrigeration compressors, screw refrigeration compressors have obvious advantages and disadvantages. 1. Main advantages 1) Easy management. There is no suction and exhaust valve, piston, piston ring, cylinder liner and other vulnerable parts of the piston compressor, which is convenient for maintenance. The operation is stable and reliable, and it is easy to realize remote operation and automation. 2) High speed and good economic performance. The screw compressor is a rotary machine. Because there is no suction or exhaust valve, the speed can be increased. The speed is usually 1500-3000/min, which is generally higher than the speed of the piston compressor, thus improving the economic index. 3) Small size and light weight. Due to the high speed, when the displacement is the same, the machine has a small volume, compact structure, light weight, low metal consumption, and small footprint. 4) Small foundation. Since the screw compressor does not have the mass inertia force of the piston compressor and the power balance performance is good, the foundation can be made very small. 5) Large stand-alone cooling capacity. At present, the refrigeration capacity of domestic screw refrigeration compressor series is 9~2300kW/h, which can meet the different needs in production. 6) Strong operation adaptability. Can be applied to a variety of refrigerants, high volumetric efficiency. Even at low evaporation temperature and high compression ratio, it still has good performance. Since there is no clearance volume, the volumetric efficiency is much higher than the piston type. 7) The exhaust temperature is low. Using oil injection cooling, the exhaust temperature is lower than the reciprocating type, so single-stage compression can still be used at higher compression ratios. When the evaporation temperature is -40 ℃, the discharge temperature is less than or equal to 90 ℃, which is beneficial to the operation of the machine. 8) Simple structure. The structure is relatively simple, the number of parts is small, the operation cycle is long, and the number of repairs is small, which saves processing time. 9) Continuous stepless adjustment. Since the most widely used at present is to use the slide valve for energy adjustment, the cooling capacity can be adjusted steplessly within the energy range of 10% to 100% to achieve continuous stepless adjustment. 10) Long operating life. Because the machine has few wearing parts and reliable usability, the operation cycle is long. Generally, the machine only needs to be repaired once after 3000~50000h. 11)No risk of liquid strike. Due to the structural characteristics, the screw compressor is not sensitive to the wet stroke. It can allow wet vapor or a small amount of liquid refrigerant to enter the body without the risk of liquid shock. 2. The main disadvantages 1) Difficult rotor processing. The processing accuracy of the rotor is high, the processing is difficult, and special equipment is required. 2) The auxiliary equipment is huge. For oil-injected screw compressors, in order to separate the lubricating oil in the exhaust gas, an oil separator and an oil return device with a large volume, a complex structure, and high efficiency are required. 3) The noise is large. Due to the reason that the rotor tooth slot passes through the suction and exhaust orifices periodically and leaks through the gap, the noise is relatively large. Generally, if the screw cooling and compression are installed in the machine room, the machine room should not be close to the main warehouse or other workshops. It is better to leave the other buildings and arrange them separately. The noise reduction is relatively good. It is better to set the equipment room and the equipment control room to be silenced and separated to reduce the noise interference to the operator. Screw refrigeration compressors are currently suitable for Freon cold storage and single-stage, two-stage (-40 ℃) systems. In large and medium-sized (cooling capacity above 350kW/h), the advantages are more prominent.
