Precautions for operation of cold storage condenser

Precautions for operation of cold storage condenser

1. When the refrigeration system is running, all the other valves of the condenser should be opened except the oil drain valve and the air valve closed.

      2. The condensing pressure z* of the water-cooled condenser should not exceed 1.5MPa, otherwise the cause should be found out and eliminated in time. The water supply to the condenser can be stopped after all the compressors have been stopped for 15 minutes. If you stop working for a long time in winter, drain the water to avoid damage to the equipment.

     3. Check the temperature and volume of the cooling water frequently. The temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of the cooling water is about 2-4 minutes. Generally, the condensation temperature is 3-5°C higher than the outlet temperature of the cooling water.

     4. The dirt on the wall of the condenser tube should be removed regularly. The thickness of the dirt should not exceed 1mm, generally once a year.

   5. Check whether there is ammonia in the effluent water of the condenser every month. If there is ammonia in the water, it will turn red when it meets phenolphthalein. If the condenser for fluorine leaks, oil will appear. The leakage of the condenser should be discovered in time for timely maintenance.

  6. The water separator of the vertical shell and tube condenser should be placed appropriately, the water should be evenly distributed along the inner wall of the pipe, and the amount of water should be sufficient.

     7. The cooling water of the horizontal shell-and-tube condenser should flow from the bottom to the top, and the cooling water must not be interrupted during operation.

     8. When the evaporative condenser is running, the exhaust fan and circulating water pump should be started first, and then the air valve and liquid outlet valve should be opened. The water spray nozzle should be unblocked, the water spray should be even, and the scale should be cleaned once a year.

   9. Air-cooled condensers should often use compressed air to clean the dust accumulated on the tube wall and radiating fins to improve heat transfer efficiency.

   10. When multiple condensers are used in combination, it is necessary to determine the number of condensers, the amount of cooling water required and the number of pumps to operate. It should be based on the compressor load, cooling water temperature and other parameters to achieve the economical, Reasonable and safe operation.
