Five hidden dangers of air conditioning installation details need to be paid attention to
In the air-conditioning industry, there has always been a saying of "three-point quality and seven-point installation", which shows that the quality of an air conditioner is only 70% of the original quality, and the installation of the air conditioner has a decisive influence on our use.
So, what should we pay attention to when installing air conditioners for the first time? Are there any hidden dangers that need attention? Today, the editor will give you a brief explanation. Interested friends may wish to come to understand.
Hidden danger 1: Water leakage
During the air-conditioning and refrigeration process, the internal machine will drip water. This is not a normal phenomenon of air-conditioning use, but is caused by irregular air-conditioning installation. For example, the internal machine is installed more than the wall hole (where the pipe leads to the external machine) Low, uneven installation of the internal machine, etc.
For the wall hole through which the internal and external machine connection pipeline passes, the "Code" requires the indoor side to be high and the outdoor side to be low. After the air conditioner is installed, the hole in the wall should be blocked to prevent rainwater from penetrating and damaging the wall and floor, and to prevent mosquitoes from entering. The materials for sealing the wall holes are generally sludge, gypsum powder, foaming agent and cement. The appearance of the wall holes should be small semicircular, moderately tight, and seamless. Too tight will collapse the water pipe and cause the indoor unit to leak.
●Inspection method: After the air conditioner is installed, test the machine (refrigeration) immediately. If there is no water leakage after a certain period of operation, there will be basically no water leakage. Of course, you can also ask the installer to conduct a water leakage test and introduce water into the internal machine. It is normal that the water flows out of the outdoor through the internal drip tray and downpipe.
Hidden danger 2: Fluoride leakage
If the air conditioner connector is not tightened, cracked, etc., fluorine leakage will occur. If the air conditioner leaks fluorine, the user must frequently add it, and the normal use of the air conditioner generally does not need to add refrigerant for several years.
●Inspection method: Check the refrigerant leakage before testing the machine. Leak detection is mainly aimed at the 4 ports of the pipe connecting the inside and outside of the air conditioner and the valve port of the stop valve. Soapy water (dish soap can also be used) is one of the commonly used methods on site. The valve is closed after opening the valve of the split air conditioner for 10-15 seconds (20-30 seconds for the cabinet). It will soon be filled with gaseous refrigerant with a pressure greater than 0.8Mpa. Apply soapy water to the suspected leak. If bubbles are formed, there is a leak. If no bubbles appear after 3 minutes of observation, it is considered qualified.
Hidden Danger Three: Leakage
Regular installers will check the user's power supply before installing the air conditioner. If it does not meet the requirements, the user will be advised to change it. If the power cord does not meet the specifications and the air conditioner is installed, it is prone to leakage and fire, which endangers the personal safety of users.
The "Specification" requires that the connection of the power cord and the electrical control line of the air conditioner should be clear, accurate, and free of cross-winding; the air conditioner should use a dedicated branch circuit, and the capacity should be greater than twice the maximum rated current value of the air conditioner; The air conditioner must have a dedicated power socket and a three-wire jack socket with a safety ground wire. The air conditioner less than or equal to 4500W must use a 16A socket. The air conditioner greater than 4500W must use an air switch; the air conditioner must be installed with good grounding. The grounding wire must be dedicated; the indoor and outdoor connecting wires of the air conditioner are not stretched, twisted, or twisted. The extension cord should use a wire that meets the requirements and be within the z* maximum wire length specified by the product.
Inspection method: Check whether the installer carries relevant power supply testing tools and test the power supply.
Hidden danger 4: Installation location
“There are also a lot of attention to the location of the air conditioner. It is not that the user installs it wherever the user likes, otherwise it will cause trouble in maintenance and poor cooling effect." said Fang Shaohang, director of the Jinhua Suning Appliance after-sales service center.
Indoor units generally require that the fuselage be 1.8~2.2 meters above the ground, and there should be no obstacles within 60 cm of the air outlet of the internal unit.
At the same time, there are also requirements for outdoor units. Outdoor units should be avoided as far as possible from heavy oil smoke, windy sand, direct sunlight, poor heat dissipation or high-temperature heat sources, and avoid flammable gases that are easy to leak, strong corrosive gases, and manual labor. Hidden dangers such as direct action of strong electricity or magnetic fields; the distance between the bottom of the mounting frame and the ground should be greater than 2.5 meters, and the self-made isolation metal mesh cover should be covered when directly landing, so that children are not easy to reach. If installed under the window sill, avoid high On the window sill; the installation bracket should have an operating space that is convenient for safe installation and maintenance.
Hidden Danger Five: Noise
The air conditioner will make a certain amount of noise during operation, but if the noise is too loud, it may be caused by improper installation.
During installation, the wall panel of the inner unit is not nailed, and the inner unit is not fixed, which easily leads to excessive noise. In this case, the installer can easily find and correct the problem through the test machine.
At the same time, the filter evaporator condenser is dirty with dust, and the air supply is not smooth, which will increase the air supply noise. The system runs short of fluorine, which will cause abnormal noise from the compressor. Therefore, the air conditioner should be thoroughly cleaned before using the air conditioner in summer to maintain the operating noise in a normal state.
