The launch of the "Guidelines for the Energy Efficiency Classification of Compressed Air Stations" has completely stopped the chaotic situation of no unified standards for energy-saving air compressor stations. The guidelines unify and standardize the energy efficiency testing, calculation, and energy efficiency rating methods and methods of compressed air stations. It provides standards and basis for evaluating whether an air compressor station is an energy-saving air compressor station, and is conducive to the realization of national energy-saving goals. The guidelines stipulate the equipment and system requirements, operation requirements, energy efficiency indicators and grades of industrial compressed air stations, which will play a vital and active role in the standardized development of the compressor industry. Therefore, the publication of the "Guidelines for Energy Efficiency Classification of Compressed Air Stations" has filled the gaps in the domestic compressor industry and has a milestone significance for the development of the entire Chinese compressor industry.

   Because of the newly revised "Standardization Law" in November 2017, Article 2 stipulates: "Standards include national standards, industry standards, local standards, group standards, and corporate standards." The status of group standards is further clarified in law.

The guide was developed by the Compressor Branch of China General Machinery Industry Association and the Gas Purification Equipment Branch. It was drafted by Hefei General Mechanical and Electrical Products Inspection Institute Co., Ltd. and Atlas Copco (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd. Well-known compressor manufacturers, post-processing manufacturers, energy-saving service companies, and senior distributors participated in the review.
Third: The group standard is formed spontaneously by the industry and is divided into 5 levels. It is the most down-to-earth, best reflects the current technology and operating status of the industry, and best reflects the will of the industry instead of government enforcement. It is fair and just. . Therefore, it not only takes into account the country's requirements for energy conservation, but also takes care of the current survival problems of the industry and enterprises, and reserves the living space for the "underdeveloped". Such standards are more conducive to the innovative development and overall progress of the industry.
   Group standards are market standards and are independently formulated by the market; market standards and government standards are developed and coordinated in coordination. This is a new type of standard system. In addition to quickly responding to market demands, market standards also carry an important function of innovation.
   Fourth: The compressor industry has long been a highly market-oriented and highly competitive industry, and it should be left to the market to determine its development direction, quality and pace. Because my country’s industry started late and developed rapidly, it does not have the accumulation of industrial foundations like Western countries. It is the first to bring the standards for building energy-saving air compressor stations at home and abroad to the same level, which is conducive to the competition of the domestic compressor industry.
