CO2, like ammonia, has a high adiabatic index K value of 1.30, which may make the compressor discharge temperature higher, but because the pressure ratio of the compressor required by CO2 is small, there is no need to cool the compressor itself. The application of new refrigerants based on environmental protection requirements is also a hot issue in the refrigeration compressor industry. With the end of the R22 refrigerant replacement work for refrigerator products, the research of new refrigerant compressors is mainly concentrated in the air conditioning industry. In addition to the relatively mature R410A, R407C research, the biggest hot issue is the study of carbon dioxide compressors. Because the pressure of the carbon dioxide system is much higher than that of the traditional pressure-critical circulation system, the shaft seal design requirements of the compressor are much higher than the original compressor, and the leakage of the compressor shaft seal will still be the main reason hindering its practical use for a period of time. .
