How to pay attention to fire safety during construction and maintenance of cold storage

The focus of cold storage fire protection should be placed on the construction and maintenance of cold storage.

One, the preparation of cold base oil and the fire protection requirements for painting

In order to prevent moisture from infiltrating from the outer wall, a linoleum moisture-proof layer should be pasted on the wall. Before pasting, apply cold base oil on the wall. Moreover, a large area of painting is carried out, so fire safety must be paid attention to:

   (1) When preparing refrigerating base oil, the asphalt heated and melted by an open flame should be moved to a safe place, and kerosene should be slowly added after it has cooled down. And it should be constantly stirred to make it evenly mixed.

(2) When applying cold base oil, especially when painting a large area continuously, all other construction operations in the warehouse should be stopped, and the lighting should use a floodlight with a protective shell, and the connector, socket and switch of the lighting lamp wire They should not be installed in the warehouse, and do not open the guards and shells of the lighting fixtures for repairs during construction, so as to avoid possible sparks that may cause combustion and explosion accidents.

   (3) After the cold base oil is completely painted, it should go through a safe drying period of 5-7 days to make the surface and the inside reach a certain degree of dryness. During this period, the library should still prohibit fire from entering the warehouse and send someone to guard it. It is forbidden to use gasoline or benzene instead of kerosene, or mix kerosene with gasoline to prepare refrigeration base oil, and do not use spraying methods during construction.

   2. Fire protection requirements for linoleum moisture-proof layer construction

   (1) When welding the steel bars of the wall column of the insert plate, take safety measures to prevent sparks from directly splashing on the moisture barrier. For example, an iron plate is used to separate, so that sparks and slag splash on the iron plate and then scattered to a safe place. Below the welding point, someone should be on duty to monitor and prepare fire extinguishing equipment. When necessary, the welded parts and the surrounding areas affected by heat transfer, as well as the moisture-proof layer or cork layer where welding sparks are dropped, can be poured with water to prevent possible smoldering.

   (2) The lighting of the construction site should be a floodlight with a protective shell. If conditions are limited, and when high-power bulbs are used, the surface temperature of the lamps is generally above 300°. If they are hung against a combustible moisture-proof layer or heat insulation layer, they will easily burn and catch fire. At this time, the bulb must be temporarily fixed on the iron frame, and the distance from the construction point of the moisture-proof layer (including the temporary storage point of linoleum) is at least 1.5-3m.

   3. Fire protection requirements for the construction of cork insulation

When using cork (brick) as the thermal insulation layer in the wall of the cold storage and the walls, columns and top of the warehouse, attention should be paid during the construction: (1) When pasting cork, don't be too concentrated on the working surface, and don't connect several corks to finish pasting at once. After each cork is pasted, there should be a certain interval of time, and there is no abnormal heating, before the hot asphalt is poured, and after a little cooling, continue to lay another cork brick.

   (2) When the warehouse is constructed irregularly, or the cork bricks have missing corners, it is often necessary to mix them with asphalt to fill them. At this time, they must be heated in a pot with an open flame and fried by hand. Usually when the temperature is close to 300℃ when the stir-frying starts to emit green smoke, the heating should be stopped. Otherwise, the temperature will be too high and the filling area will be larger, which will cause heat to accumulate and cause spontaneous combustion of asphalt, linoleum and cork.

   4. Safe filling of rice husk insulation

In the cold storage construction, the stage from the application of moisture-proof and heat-insulating materials to the filling of rice husks is a critical moment for fire protection. The infrastructure unit should closely cooperate with the construction unit to formulate specific safe construction plans and restrict the construction site accordingly. For operations that may cause fires such as fire, electricity, welding and cutting, the two parties send pickets to strengthen their duty, prepare fire extinguishing equipment and fire trucks for water supply. If necessary, they can also contact the local fire brigade to send fire trucks for garrison protection.

After the rice husk is transported to the construction site, it should be stored in a safe place, not near the main building of the cold storage; do not approach open flames around; the installation of wires in the temporary storage yard should meet the requirements; the roof should be protected from rain leakage. Filling the wall with rice husks should be done after the concrete wall is installed; filling in layers, about 30cm each time, tamping with a rod, and then covering the top concrete fireproof cover. The rice husk on the roof layer can be filled sequentially through the holes left on the roof, and it must be fully filled. After filling, the hole cover should be tightly sealed.
